UVC technology has been used in medical and commercial disinfection techniques for many years. UVC technology uses no harmful chemicals, heat, steam or ozone, making it the most effective and safe sterilisation method to date.​ Proven Technology ​UVC eliminates up to 99.99% of germs and bacteria by destroying their DNA & RNA strands. UVC rays penetrate cells and damage the nucleic acid, therefore making them unable to reproduce and microbiologically inactive.

UV refers to ultraviolet light produced by the sun. There are three different types of UV light - UVA, UVB and UVC. ​UVC refers the UV light with the wavelength between 200-290 nanometers (nm). It is the highest energy level of UV and is almost entirely filtered out by the atmosphere before reaching the Earth's surface. Is it Dangerous? The skin and eyes should not be exposed to 59S UV light. All 59S products are designed to have no eye or skin contact so represent little to no risk if used correctly.

The 59S Lighting has 2 Modes : 1. 20 & 30min Quick Disinfection 2. 2 & 3Hour Deep Clean Clinical test results are available & UVC test cards are available to demonstrate Efficacy.
